BALARMA..... MY FIRST FRIEND...

I feel so bored....really bored in the midst of this city life....when we sit alone....memories will rush into mind...so again i started my favourite hobby...favourite in the sense...the one which makes me happy...i started thinking of my school days....i don't know why balarama suddenly touched me....yes balarama...the children's magazine..which was a part of  many at that time....even now i hope...

i started thinking of balarama...when and where i started reading this ?? where...??? i got the answer...of course from home....amma used to read a lot..so she wanted me to read...to develop the habit of reading..does she succeeded with that? to some extent...may be....but the  habit to love books  started from balarama..and now the question of when??...may be i learned my mother tongue by reading my favourite magazine !!!!!

Balarama was published fortnightly and i logged for every edition of it...when i was at 5th standard amma told me...enough of reading this magazine...we will stop this,,,,,, then suddenly my sister told no i should read.....okay...she agreed.....every june amma will tell...enough with this...then neelu will start..ammu read this till her 15th year so i also should read up to that....and it continued as long as she passed her 10th std i guess..

ALL TIMES FAVOURITES

MAYAVI MAY BE THE HERO.....BUT I LIKE LUTTAPI

these characters may seem as just comic but for those who lived along with balarama can't forget any of those small happiness they gave you,,,,,  how you waited every week for each edition....how carefully you filled up the crosswords and send to office......how you liked the name slips balarama gave you at each school opening...the face mask of tiger and santa claus at onam and christmas....small gifts..... BALARAMA was not just a magazine....it was a friend...a soul mate....who developed the language skill with us,,,,who made us read books,,,,.....who taught us moral stories without boring...thats why after all these years..when sitting alone at midnight......nostalgically it came again to my life....silently saying....
feeling bored????

drag a copy of mine .....i will entertain you instead of your boring gadgets, facebook, wassup or any videogames.....

such a lovely friend it is.... <3

I LOVE U BALARAMA....
